Full Version: ICR2 with DOSBox on Vista

I wanted to try out some of the new tracks that were made lately so I tried installing ICR2 on my Vista laptop using DOSBox. I messed it up the first time but got it working the second time round. I even have sound now, yay!

Unfortunately I can't configure my controls the way I want to, for some reason it wants to use my mouse for everything when I want to assign a key (I just want to use the keyboard). I can't find a mouse entry in the DOSBox .conf file though, does anyone know how to get around this problem? I tried deactivating the touchpad and unplugging the mouse but this did not have any impact.
a work-around:
If you have any older computers with ICR2 installed with the controls configured to your liking,
you could copy the CONTROLS.CFG file from the older computer to your newer one.
Tjerk, check the attachment in this thread:

I had the same problem and this worked for me.
Cheers for the help, will try it right away. I did try copying some controls.cfg files that I found in my backed up copies but these were probably still from my wheel, which is now officially dead Smiley

edit: well, of course the keys were different then what I like to drive with so I just opened the controls.cfg in a hex editor and changed the values until i had my desired keyboard layout. Works a treat now, thanks for all your help.
I have the same problem with "mouse X" appearing in every try that I make to assign my wheel (Logitech GT4 from my PS2) in the game.
I want to ask if someone has a controls.cfg with wheel, so the only thing I should do is to calibrate it.
Thanks in advance.
This is my controls.cfg file.
My god, Pavel 69!!!
There are no words to show you my gratitude. Thanks a lot. I just gave it a try and it works perfectly!!!
