Hallo,
Here you can find Cleveland in original configuration with left-right hander after startfinish line. This track was in used from 1982 til practice&qualifying of 1990 GP. Before 1990 race track was reconfigured. So track record was set in 1990 qualifying by Rick Mears.

Number of laps had been changing through the years.
1982, 1983 125
1984-1986 88
1987-1990 80

Bug in last corner is still there, but I have tried to fix it. Wall on pit entry is not visible very well because it uses same colors as asphalt there.

But one question: Shouldn't it be 2.48 miles long? This is standing on the CART statistical pages as the track length...

In Clevla85 there is wrong length (my misprint). I think that Cleveland track had approximate length of 2,216 miles.

Original Cleveland track (1982-1990) had official length of 2,479. After reconfiguring its new length was 2,369.

2,479-2,369=0,11 miles - difference in length between two layouts

In 1998 Cleveland track was remeasured. Its new length was 2,106. So difference between old measurment and new is 2,369-2,106=0,263. It's very big.
So I think that old layout was shorter by 0,253 miles.

2,479-0,263=2,216 or 2,106+0,11=2,216

Also, to create this track I used my version of Cleveland with length of 2,106. After adding new section track length in SGE-program become 2,20 miles.
