N2 utilities search - James - 09-29-2023
Hello again! Once again I understand this is an n1 forum but I have found more old nascar racing 2 stuff that seems to be lost.

A lot of really interesting mods seen here, including one that allows you to convert all of n2 into a dedicated truck racing Sim! Plus some mods that replace the cockpit graphics (and I assume moves the gauges) with a much more accurate one which unfortunately I don't have any screenshots for that it does mention it in the utilities.
I wonder if anyone here has at least a few files that are considered lost now being that the wayback machine barely has if not any old stuff that can be recovered.
There was another utility which mentioned that if you edited a few files you can actually make the rear view mirror in n2 not be three panels but how it looks in n3/NL when you toggle it to show a angle where it has a silhouette of the inside carframe

I made a few discoveries which I will upload in a Google drive Link soon, but I did find some working links!
First up is the n@50 mod for nr2/99!

The main installers do work and download, unfortunately the cockpit graphics do not have any files logged in the archive
Second is a majority of the mods included here

Some notable examples like a early version of a truck 3DO model, a late model car shape file and a mid-1980s 3DO file.
During my search I also found that there was a truck series mod for nr1! Unfortunately however the files for this mod are completely long gone but I do have a link to it here to show it's existence.: https://web.archive.org/web/19990208015041if_/http://www.nascarnet.com:80/
A lot of this took a lot of trial and error and constantly bouncing around the way back machine to at least find some crumbs of workability, I'm hoping that the 3do N1 truck set is somewhere out there or someone at least has it.

I need to check my archives. I think I had all n@50 mod files. And n1 trucks were just quick edit of default cars. I think I had it too.

I know about the n1 truck carset on iwccars, but those seem to be repaints to resemble the trucks while still keeping the original model while the ones linked are modified 3do files.
EDIT: found out that the 1996 truck series mod for N1 is actually on the IWCCARS website, my bad! I just assumed that it would be the same like the 1995 supertrucks set
