Today I did my first text file edited TSD line.  Super exciting!  I made a yellow line!

TSDs are looking great! Cool - you found a nice aerial view for the menu screen.

For the most part I think I am done with the MRK stuff. I made nearly 40 MIPS that are either 512 or 256 pixels wide. It's difficult to get the ads perfect because on youtube there is only 1 good video (Tamiami 1988) and it does not show all the ads clearly. I did the best I could. Some of the ads repeat and are used several times on the track but I think I have over 50 entries in my MRK file. Every time I would do a few ads, I would go back and do the sg2trk, trk23d, 3d23do conversion again and then to a "track drive mode" view in OPE.

I want to move onto the next simplest thing now.

Great to hear of your progress. Please remember to save a backup of your MRK file. I believe SGE will overwrite it if you are not careful.

What's next on your build? Seems you're almost at the point of placing trackside objects.

I will make a copy- MRK took me so long that I kind of lost momentum for a while.

I still have to place objects, and learn how to make objects from scratch.
I have some MIPS that aren't right (some textures that are automatically made when the track is made, like the curbing and pit-divider yellow lines where you enter the pits)

What do you suggest?

now that I feel like I have my MRK file how I want it, would I be foolish to not completely convert my track and try it in the game just to make sure there are no surprises?

Go for it! Looking forward to the screenshots. I myself have a habit of frequently checking my work in the game (probably too much... but it's always fun to see it in-game!)

Thank you for your help and motivation you have provided me with.  I was super happy to do a crappy lap at tamiami with a little handheld controller to take these pictures.  It converted the first time without problems (granted I only have a MRK now and no objects)
