Basic Installation Instructions
#1
Could someone direct me to a thread for installation instructions from CD?  I have already installed DOSbox.

Update:  I found a YouTube video on how to install a game using DOSBox which worked.  I then was able to launch the game but it runs in a small window and has no sound.

Hearing no response other than Dennis's tip, I have begun compiling a draft set of steps below:

1. Download DOSBox from here
2. Install DOSBox
3. Launch DOSBox
4. Insert CD
5. Go into Windows File Manager and observe the drive letter assigned to your CD drive which is likely “D”
6. In DOSBox Window
    a. Z:\>mount d d:/ -t cdrom
    b. Z:\>mount c c:/
    c. Z:\>d:
    d. D:\>autorun
    e. D:\>intall (Installation screen appears)
    f. Note version number, drive and install directory.  Change if desired. <ENTER>
    g. Choose “Complete Installation” <ENTER>
    h. D:\c:
    i. C:\cd icr2
    j. C:\icr2>setup (Setup screen appears)
    k. Select “Setup Sound Card – Automatic”
    l. Select “Continue with automatic sound setup”
    m. Select “Accept current values and proceed”
    n. Listen for Paul Page’s voice
    o. Exit to DOS
    p. Close DOSBox window
7. Go into Windows File Manager and observe files installed to C:\ICR2 folder
8. Launch game
    a. Launch DOSBox
    b. In DOSBox window
              i. Z:\>mount c c:/
              ii. Z:\>c:
            iii. C:\>cd icr2
            iv. C:\icr2>indycar -h
              v. <ESC> to stop preview from playing

You need to make some changes to your DOSBox config file. If you have Windows, you can find it at AppData/Local/DOSBox in your User folder. There should be a detailed description of each option in the file. Make a backup first, and then play around with the options.

Line 8 b iv), if you change it to indycar -h the game will start in SVGA mode instead of VGA; much better

Thanks for doing this step by step instruction. Once you've worked out those last couple of things it would be good to update the whole thing so all in one place (and very useful)

Sound is working but haven't got full screen working yet.  I just got back from vacation and am trying to get caught-up at work.   I ran across a config file over at the Sim Racing Mirror Zone but haven't tried that yet either.
