New forum and archive section for NASCAR 1

Someone on Youtube requested some NASCAR 1 tracks. So anyway, one thing led to another and I ended up making both a new forum section and a download page in the Archive. Some dedicated Nascar 1 topics were moved to this forum.

This is the new download page for N1: https://www.icr2.net/archive/nascar1_tracks.php. There are only a couple of tracks there for now, all of which were found in topics in the ICR2 forum.

As i think im one of just a few people among 7.2 billion in this world that still plays Nascar Racing 1 (i had a lot of files but somehow i lost or the pen drive is missing somewhere) i had a program with realistic carshapes of the Luminas and those early 90s Ford Thunderbirds that added a lot more realism to the game as well as the tracks updated with cigarettes and beer bilboards. If some of you guys have it and would share it would be cool to keep the game alive. I drive these early papyrus nascar sims simple because i find the physics and accidents way more realistic than for example Nascar Heat 5 where i regreted to spend money buying that joke.

And I agree on the NASCAR Heat games. I have played a couple of them on PS4 and they are an absolute joke.

Tjerk, how about a forum for ICR1 as well? I remember seeing some ICR1 carsets a while back.

I suppose we could have an Indy 500: The Simulation forum too although there is limited modding of that, but I remember a tool that let you change the colors of all the opponents.

I have literally just a few weeks ago created another twitter account to go alongside my GP2 and ICR2 ones but for NR1 and I would LOVE to see what you guys can find in terms of carsets/tracks etc etc!!

Tjerk, how about a forum for ICR1 as well? I remember seeing some ICR1 carsets a while back.

I suppose we could have an Indy 500: The Simulation forum too although there is limited modding of that, but I remember a tool that let you change the colors of all the opponents.

I have added a subforum for ICR1, that seemed very appropriate indeed because I could already move more topics than for NASCAR 1. Thanks for the suggestion! I will also add a section to the archive for the game.

I'm not too sure about a forum for Indy 500 The Simulation, but if we can find some downloads for it I will happily add a new section for that one to the archive as well.

NASCAR Racing 1 was just a great game too. I ran it for a bit to make screenshots for the archive and even more than ICR2 it takes me back all those years and it still feels, sounds and looks great. The nice grunt of the engine, the blocky cars, it's all great!
