I think you would need to run qualifying with <trackname>.txt set to 40 cars, then change it to 33 and reorder the carset and drivers2.txt to move the DNQ's to the bottom of the order so they won't be in the race.

Hello. How to change the order of drivers in the DRIVERS2?

Open drivers2.txt with a text editor. The first driver is the Pace Car. You would move the lines of the DNQ drivers to the bottom of the file.

The problem I see with this is that you will then have drivers driving cars with the wrong liveries.

You need ICR2 Manager to mange driver's order.

Yeah. Like since my computer crashed 12 or 13 years ago.

I just hope I can remember the workaround for that install bug... which, btw, I fixed right before the big crash (like the day before), and wasn't able to get the patched version posted.

Also, if whoever's maintaining the archive section sees this, please go ahead and put these in the appropriate section.

I have this in my archive

Quote:the setup routine is a little twitchy.

click the start button, select run from the menu, type regedit in the box and click ok.

in the left pane of the registry editor, expand the tree to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\ICR2mgr\StartUp

in the right pane, right-click GameDir and select Modify

in the Value Data box, type the full path to the directory that contains indycar.exe or cart.exe (depending on which version you have). be sure to end the path with a backslash ( \ ).

click ok, and close the registry editor.

it should now be ok.
