Amusing fps changes I found between 1.0 and 1.02 of ICR2
#1
So I scored a copy of the original release of ICR2 (non Sierra re-issue) and it's the 1.0 release version.

I've played ICR2 patched and always had issues with frame rate even on a beefy pc, either it ran stable but jitters when there's too many cars or I got too close to the walls on some tracks. Now I play without textures on the road and grass for framerate and personal preference reasons, so when I installed the 1.0 version, the stock orginal release...the framerate was stable, very stable!

Stuff that would cause dips were gone, which makes me think there's something in 1.02 that's pushing the engine to it's limit. I know 1.02 fixed some understeer issues with the phisics (which I haven't noticed on my CD copy) and the warning light not lighting up when nearing rev limit.

Of course the latest version is preferred from a fix standpoint, but it's neat to see how much papyrus pushed NR1's inital engine to the limit before being revamped more for NR2/3
