Happy there's a community for this

Hi all,

In short, played Indy 500 (way back in the day and spent way too much time looking for extra hundredths), went NR1 (and the track pack) and then university, work and life and all sorts got in the way.

Had an urge to scratch something Papyrus recently (weirdly did the Indy 500 thing on an Amiga Emulator about 2 years ago - still had it despite about 25 or 30 years since my last laps) and got N2 running on DosBox but couldn't get N1 (got in game and it crashed with no sound) or N99 (hung on the intro ) going (yet).

Decided to look up some Mod Communities as I remembered getting USA Speedway first time (for N1) around and wondered what may still exist for N2 to make my "season" better (as NR2003 seems to be it - which I can't go with am a Mac user so things are difficult as it is).

Found SimCyberworld (which I used first time around) and then found here.

Can't believe there is such a "relatively" big community still for the more niche of the Papyrus titles (and they physics still hold as it isn't that far off what eventually became the beginning of I Racing). Is really nice to see.

Haven't got ICR2 running yet (think it may be my copy - it came with loads of extra, looked like N99 converted tracks such as Myrtle Beach). Had a "couldn't load tracks" or something like that error. Will have a play around with it and watch the YT video that is linked elsewhere on it as from a quick look it seemed quite detailed.

Also keen to give Meadowlands a go (remember playing it on the Indy Heat arcade game - way way back) and thinking cool track and wanted to play it on a proper sim. Oh and Noisring (have always been a DTM fan & didn't even realise it was an F1 track and something like the Avus circuit which wasn't the best I'd imagine would be possible)

Not that I'm looking to jump into track editing (and it looks like there are way more tools for that than there was) but I'm thinking Memphis looks like it might be possible as a track (am not talking about the detail as bridges would be hard I'm assuming) but I'm thinking 2 x relatively paralell (curved) straights, with some largely 90 degree bends on either end of it? That or maybe the Las Vegas planned F1 track or something?

Nice to find this place though and see so many about.
