Vancouver track
#1
Hi!
This is Vancouver track with chicanes after the arena. It was hard to make right drawing of objects on this track because of many bridges around the track. From cockpit track looks well, but from some cameras views the drowing order of some objects it's bad.
This track was used from 1994 till 1997 (I think).

Can anybody tell me what were lap distances of Vancouver track in 1993 and in 1994. Because, when I calculate average speed by dividing lap distance and poletime, result doesn't be like in qualify statistics.

Here is what I have:

year---------lap dist.----------------pole--------av. speed
1990--------1,704-------------------62,252------98,541
1991--------1,677-------------------57,385------105,205
1992--------1,677 (1,704)----------54,514------110,746
1993--------1,704 (1,709)----------53,791------110,293 (my calculation 114,0414)
1994--------1,677-------------------54,570------109,049 (my calculation 110,6322)
1995--------1,733 (1,705)----------55,226------111,013
1996--------1,733-------------------53,980------113,576
1997--------1,733-------------------54,025------113,481

Thanks!

Pavel

Pavel, I haven't checked the track yet (need to set up my computer for that), but am I right this is a rebuild of the track that was in the game?

Cool stuff, going to check it out tonight.

Yes, I rebuild original track from the game. I have made new corners and made corrections to the final corner. Here is picture of the old and new tracks.

Woofgm, can you tell me pole time and speed for this years.

Thanks.

Wow, you got me Grin3 The first chicane was no problem because the extra room actually made it easier then before... but the second one was quite unexpected and I left some parts of my car there Tongue Good job on this track, so this was the actual layout eh ? Nice one ! Smiley

Woof, he meant the stats for 1995. The year the track is based on.

Hi!
I found that Vancouver's lap distance was 1,648 miles in 1993 and 1,653 miles in 1994.

Woofgm, I meant 1993 and 1994 years.

I think track layout was the same from 1994 till 1997. But lap distance was 1,653 in 1994 and 1,703 in 1995-1997. My track has 1,703 m length.
