IIRS goes endurance in 2007

In 2006 you already had the chance to participate in the Endurance challenge at Daytona Roadcourse. At that track a total of 15 teams fought it during a 180 lap battle. The success of that event led to an expansion of the Endurance event into an Endurance Series for 2007.

In 2007 we will race at 5 different venues for a championship. There will be both a teamchampionship and a driverschampionship (as drivers will be allowed to swap teams).

The tracks have not yet been concluded, but you can be assured that Daytona will be raced, as will be Elkhart Lake, Le Mans and Schwarzwaldring.

Teams consists of either 2 or 3 drivers, depending on your liking. Rules, points and the carset will be published later this month.

If you're interested to race, but don't have a team, post a message in the forum or email the director. You can send in your teamlivery as well. If you do this before the first race, your team will be included in the 2007 IIRS GTP carset!

Can-Am Racing have signed for the Endurance Series.

Emerge Motorsports has signaled the IIRS Director that they will once again send a team to Daytona.

High Performance (a Nascar 3 team) will be undertake a second attempt at ICR2 Daytona.

Joshua Flynn and Wilson Figueras will join up in a unknown team.

Dean Warner has joined Panther Racing driver Jim Murphey and lady driver Gloria Bell.

This brings our total to 11 teams!

With 14 teams participating the Daytona race already is an succes.
